.NET is usually installed with most operating systems (XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, etc). However, some may not have it being automatically updated, thus needing the latest version to be installed.
The attached file is version 3.5 (which at this time is the most current version). Double click on the attachment and follow the installation instructions, using the default settings.
